Shashi Bhushan Balika Vidyalaya Degree College is one of the oldest colleges of Lucknow. Way back in the forties Sri V.N Vidyant and his wife Smt. Leela Vidhyant wanted to educate women and founded a primary school which later paved the path for a Degree College.
We want to carry forward their dreams and provide academic education, as well as skill oriented training to students who come over from different walks of life. Various awareness programmes are held from time to time.
In these adverse time, Webinars are organised for the benefits of students.
The atmosphere of the college is very cordial where the teachers help all the students to enhance their abilities and skills as well as achieve good marks and pass out with flying colours.

Shashi Bhushan Balika Vidyalaya Degree College caters mainly to students who come from low middle class and economically weaker section. Most students enrolled here because it is a morning College and later can work elsewhere or pursue some technical course.
The College offers two academic courses: B.A. and B.com (Self-Finance), NSS and NCC are also there help students to carve a niche for themselves
A rich Library and Book Bank facilities are also available. Skill oriented workshops, extra-curricular activities, Inter Collegiate programmes are organised to help students enhance their abilities. Health related workshops, visits from Doctors, Social Workers, Counsellors and Professional experts are invited to bring about awareness among students.
The Faculty members are warm and caring who believe in communicating with the students.
The student-teacher ratio is good as there are several teachers in some subjects. The teachers are always ready to help students in every possible way. Together we all can work for the betterment of the College.
